All hairs stick to honey,
a penny's head left on the ground.
Borrowed time and dead land to dress up,
these rivers leave her wild.
Analogies let go their catches
and drifters drag away their dripping edges,
hazy and hollow as the angel halo.
Raising the voice from where it dropped.
G-d lets hang his heavy, heavy eyes.
Peaks of earth left to peek under the sea.
Uncanny sights clothe naked
starlight into dream.
Have you, the spare change,
to set them free?
